Welcome back to another episode of the Ken Frederick Podcast! It has been a while since we have brought you one of our movie reviews, but the blockbuster season is starting so here comes Logan!
The last time we will see Hugh Jackman play the title hero, Wolverine. A role that he has made an icon over the last 17 years. Logan is the story of a sick, bitter, old, limo driver just trying to make ends meet to take care of his sicker, older, slightly insane friend when fate drops danger on their doorstep. A woman, on the run from some half robot assholes, comes to Logan begging him to take her and a young girl to the safety zone across the Canadian boarder, offering the cash that Logan so desperately needs. Little did Logan know how much trouble this would cause him, and how much he would end up feeling during this mission. Although this film may seem a vision out of the insane mind of Quentin Tarantino, it was actually directed by James Mangold. Sir Patrick Stewart reprises his role as an insane caricature of Professor Charles Xavier, and relative new comer Dafne Keen plays Laura, **Spoiler Alert** AKA X-23.
As usual you can listen to the first part of the show to get our thoughts on the movie without any spoilers, but as soon as you hear Cheese make the call, you better shut it down if you don’t want to hear all the GORY details. Emphasis on GORY! Thanks as always for listening and don’t forget to check us out on social media.
