KFP 108: Thor Ragnarok Movie Review

Welcome back to another KFP Movie review show!!  This time the team saw the new MCU film Thor Ragnarok.  The third film in the Thor series, and one of the last two films leading up to the much anticipated third Avengers team up film, Avengers: Infinity War.  As with Captain America: Civil War, this third outing for Thor felt like a mini Avengers team up film… we’ll call it Avengers 2.75.  This time Thor finds himself on a land fill of a planet, that happens to be a nexus of cosmic gates in the universe.  He is captured and sold to the Grandmaster, played by Jeff Goldblum.  His captor is a new character Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson.  He is then forced to fight in gladiator style combat to try and win his freedom.  He finds out his opponent is none other than his fellow Avenger, The Hulk, and plans his escape to go back and save his home of Asgard from Hela, the Goddess of Death, played by Cate Blanchett and Ragnarok.  Loki is back, Odin makes and appearance, and we get a great cameo from the Sorcerer Supreme himself Dr. Strange.  One of the standout characters was a Gladiator that Thor meets named Korg who is voiced by the films director Taika Waititi.  I think this is the highest collective score we have given a film in a long time.  This was universally liked by the team with only a few minor issues.  So, have you seen Thor Ragnarok yet?  What did you think?  Let us know in the comments section!  As always, don’t forget to check out all of our social media accounts and our page over at SoundCloud.com where we post new unedited content every week.  Thanks as always for listening!!  Cheers!
